Our Top 5 Sexiest Movies

1. Unfaithful (2002)

Genre: Drama, Thriller
Directed by: Adrian Lyne
Starring: Richard Gere, Diane Lane, Olivier Martinez

Unfaithful
Best described by director Adrian Lyne as “an erotic thriller about the body language of guilt,” “Unfaithful” has its share of racy scenes, but it’s the drama and suspense that keep you watching.

The story follows Connie (played to perfection by Diane Lane), a middle-aged wife and mother who finds excitement when she carries on an affair with a younger man. (The subway scene where Lane flashes back to her adulterous encounter showcases her ability as an actress to take you inside her character’s intensely conflicted mind and body.)

When her husband Edward (Richard Gere) discovers the truth, it leads to unexpected and horrifying actions that are far from the idyllic family life they had hoped to create.

2. Bitter Moon (1992)

Genre: Drama, Romance, Thriller
Directed by: Roman Polanski
Starring: Hugh Grant, Kristin Scott Thomas, Emmanuelle Seigner

Bitter moon

Sometimes it’s impossible to separate an auteur’s art from his scandalous life (Roman Polanski’s wife Sharon Tate was murdered by the Manson family; in 1977 he had to flee the United States due to charges of rape of a minor that are still pending).

In the case of Polanski, his salacious personal life heightens the dark sexiness pervading many of his moody movies. “Bitter Moon” stars Hugh Grant, Kristin Scott Thomas and Emmanuelle Seigner, Polanski’s real-life wife, who is 33 years younger than her notorious husband. It tells the tale of a steamy affair of utter sexual obsession that turns into bitter hatred.

3. The Longest Ride

Director: George Tillman Jr.
Writers: Nicholas Sparks (novel), Craig Bolotin (screenplay)
Stars: Scott Eastwood, Britt Robertson, Alan Alda

The Notebook will always be my favorite Nicholas Sparks adaptation, but The Longest Ride comes in pretty close. During the sex scene for the film, the couple moves from a room into the shower, and, if you’ve seen Scott Eastwood, you understand why this particular scene is amazing.

Eastwood even admitted that he and his co-star Britt Robertson were completely naked while shooting the scene.

4. Vicky Cristina Barcelona

Vicky Cristina Barcelona

Director: Woody Allen
Writer: Woody Allen
Stars: Rebecca Hall, Scarlett Johansson, Javier Bardem

Sexually adventurous Cristina and her friend Vicky, who is bright but cautious, holiday in Barcelona where they meet the celebrated and wholly seductive painter, Juan Antonio. Vicky is not about to dive into a sexual adventure being committed to her forthcoming marriage. But Cristina is immediately captivated by Juan Antonio’s free spirit and his romantic allure is enhanced when she hears the delicious details of his divorce from fellow artist, the tempestuous Maria Elena.

5. 9 1/2 Weeks

9-and-a-Half-Weeks

Director: Adrian Lyne
Writers: Sarah Kernochan, Zalman King
Stars: Mickey Rourke, Kim Basinger, Margaret Whitton

Once upon a time, in 1986, there was a sexy, magnetic man called Mickey Rourke. People tend to mistake that man with the contemporary Mickey Rourke, that strange creature, so full of muscles and plastic surgeries it is nearly scary.

That man, the original Mickey Rourke -the guy we loved back then-, was involved in one of the sexiest films of all times: Nine 1 / 2 Weeks. With him, the alluring Kim Basinger, that incredibly attractive woman. They instantly became the couple of the year, hands down. But what was the movie about? That is not important at all.

It was an exciting collection of sex and power games between the two of them, that made a whole generation dream, and lust
